Mosaicisti italici in Grecia? Un confronto tra alcuni pavimenti ateniesi e la cultura musiva del territorio italiano tra età ellenistica e medio-imperiale

This paper aims to verify the activity of Italic mosaicists in the Greek territory, through a comparison between some artefacts from Athens and the Italic mosaic culture of the late Hellenistic and Imperial age. In particular, three specimens of decorated cement floor and three sectilia pavimenta will be considered. Of the latter, significant examples will be analyzed: the well-known floor of the Agrippa’s Odeion and two little-known square module sectilia with complex motifs, discovered in the south area of the Acropolis.
