This paper aims to propose a preliminary analysis of white mosaic pavements in the temple cellas. These artifacts are well known in the Roman, Vesuvian, central and north Italic areas and can be divided into two types: 1) monochrome white mosaic floors; 2) white mosaic floors with borders and frames in chromatic contrast, mostly black. Both are widely attested in the late Hellenistic and Early-Imperial age, but also in later periods.

Abstract
This paper aims to propose a preliminary analysis of white mosaic pavements in the temple cellas. These artifacts are well known in the Roman, Vesuvian, central and north Italic areas and can be divided into two types: 1) monochrome white mosaic floors; 2) white mosaic floors with borders and frames in chromatic contrast, mostly black. Both are widely attested in the late Hellenistic and Early-Imperial age, but also in later periods.File allegati a questo prodotto
