Una nuova narrazione. Appunti per immaginare diverse metafore, frame e racconti per la rappresentazione pubblica e mediale delle migrazioni

The framing of migrations appears in public discourse for decades stuck around a limited number of recurring stories. For this reason, more actors express the need to find different narratives, more useful to understand this social change. In this direction, the article addresses three needs: 1) refine the description of the dominant narratives, pro- posing a heuristic scheme to define key metaphors and frames; 2) complete this structure with the possible strategies for minority voices, defining the relationship between the dominant narratives and those that, over time, have been constructed to counter them; 3) evaluate these possibilities by placing in this scheme some examples of coun- ter-frames to verify their argumentative effect. In other words, starting from the analysis of the framing structure in the direction you go to investigate and measure the agency capabilities.
