The dossier highlights the new urban question through a public governance strategy for environmental re- generation, social revitalization, cultural and economic enhancement of the city, meanstreaming the urban dimension, through the lens of social inclusion and economic development, and assuming the public space of the city as a physical structural for a new welfare as a network of networks. In particular, the European Union places cultural heritage at the center of the Agenda of its member countries, through policies that combine the protection and enhancement of tangible and intangible assets with those for education and culture, climate change, regional and digital policies.
