The article deals with the Knossian Linear B tablet F (2) 852+, which records a harvest of about one million litres of barley. By comparing two economic models imported from the Near East (Ugarit and Tell Sabi Abyad), an attempt is made to define the economic and territorial impact of the production of this crop on LMIIIA Messara plain.
