Bibliografia di Informatica Umanistica came out in 1994 after more than a decade of intense work in close collaboration with the research group of the so-called Scuola Romana, founded by Tito Orlandi. Giovanni Adamo set in this work the state of the art of a discipline that could boast a solid community of scholars in Italy and abroad: today known internationally as Digital Humanities, it was even then an autonomous and recognisable field of knowledge. The 5532 records of Bibliografia di Informatica Umanistica now offer a significant source for future researches: both to pursue specific lines of enquiry and to strengthen the ontological status of the discipline.
