L'uguaglianza di Marx. Dal Capitale alla Critica del programma di Gotha

Marx’s ideas on equality are examined in this article, building on his analysis in Ca- pital, volume I, and in the Critique of the Gotha Programme. The starting point is the critique of the ideological role played by the liberal principle of formal equality, which was oblivious to the structural inequality of capital-labour relations of production. Marx, however, developed a more complex vision of equality – in combination with freedom, and recognising individual differences – as a key principle for addressing human needs and organising an alternative social order.
