Studanteum della Sapienza. Una proposta progettuale per un collegio universitario futuro

One of the causes of this weakness (apart from some, but a few exceptions) is certainly the inadequacy - in terms of quantity and quality - of the supply of modern university residences and colleges The Studanteum is an Academic Center of residence and study of Sapienza, to be built in every city in the world. In it will be present the memory of the work of Dante, our great poet, both by drawing a Lampa in steel and light from the image of the circles of the blessed around the supreme wisdom, and by basing the new project on the dynamic use of the golden spiral that Giuseppe Terragni used in his famous Danteum. The spiral will shape the volumes of the study, entertainment and recreation spaces, crowned by the ‘Lampa della Sapienza’. The project is scalable, that is, it can be adapted to different urban lots.

Abstract: Il nostro paese, ha il vanto d’essere stato culla delle istituzioni universitarie. Oggi, tuttavia, l’Italia, nel novero dei grandi paesi dell’Occidente è quello che attrae meno studenti stranieri in rapporto alle dimensioni e alla storica qualità del suo sistema universitario. Una delle cause di tale debolezza (a parte alcune, ma poche eccezioni) è certamente l’insufficienza – per quantità e qualità – dell’offerta di residenze e di collegi universitari moderni. Lo Studanteum è un Centro Accademico di residenza e studio della Sapienza, da realizzare in ogni città del mondo. In esso sarà presente la memoria dell’opera di Dante, nostro sommo poeta, sia traendo dall’immagine dei cerchi dei beati attorno alla somma Sapienza una Lampa in acciaio e luce, sia basando il nuovo progetto sull’uso dinamico della spirale aurea che Giuseppe Terragni utilizzò nel suo famoso Danteum. La spirale modellerà i volumi degli spazi di studio, spettacolo e ricreazione, coronati dalla ‘Lampa della Sapienza’. Il progetto è scalabile, cioè adattabile a diversi lotti urbani.
