This work considers the first results of research activities regarding the impact of digital technologies in the archaeological field, combining theoretical-disciplinary aspects with a detailed study of some interventions conducted so far. We intend to tackle the repercussions of digital technologies from a perceptive point of view and on the material consistency of cultural heritage. A key issue is the relationship between traditionally restoration, restoration theory and ‘digital restoration’.
