With this paper we attempt to insert the ecdotic question into the broader context of the genealogical sciences. Each tree designed and conceived will be the representation we build for ourselves of realities that have anything to do with history, be it biological species, families, manuscripts, or memes. In textual criticism it is believed that the tree graph should now be replaced by a graph capable of representing the network of relations between witnesses. Finally, an explanation of general bifidism of the trees on a statistical basis is provided.

Abstract

With this paper we attempt to insert the ecdotic question into the broader context of the genealogical sciences. Each tree designed and conceived will be the representation we build for ourselves of realities that have anything to do with history, be it biological species, families, manuscripts, or memes. In textual criticism it is believed that the tree graph should now be replaced by a graph capable of representing the network of relations between witnesses. Finally, an explanation of general bifidism of the trees on a statistical basis is provided.
