The WAx (Work-As-x) is a conceptual framework that aims to provide a deeper understanding of cyber-socio-technical systems (CSTS) integrating resilience engineering principles and knowledge management. The WAx is relevant for scholars who deal with complex systems from a safety and human factors perspective, but remains valid for larger resilience-oriented research. It is also expected to be of interest for safety and security practitioners, sociologists, psychologists, and ergonomics and human factors specialists.

Abstract

The WAx (Work-As-x) is a conceptual framework that aims to provide a deeper understanding of cyber-socio-technical systems (CSTS) integrating resilience engineering principles and knowledge management. The WAx is relevant for scholars who deal with complex systems from a safety and human factors perspective, but remains valid for larger resilience-oriented research. It is also expected to be of interest for safety and security practitioners, sociologists, psychologists, and ergonomics and human factors specialists.
