Between 1968 and 1969, a twenty-five years old Gilda Bartoloni took part, thanks to a scholarship granted by UNE- SCO, in the cataloging activities of the Etruscan findings that had been exhibited in the topographical section of the archaeological Museum of Florence. The museum was heavily damaged by the disastrous flood that had struck the city on November 4th 1966. In this context, the young scholar dealt in particular with the materials from Tarquinia and from two centers of the hinterland of Vulci, Poggio Buco and Pitigliano. To honour Professor Bartoloni, I present here a short overview of the materials from Pitigliano in Florence. Such materials confirm the multicultural and multifaceted culture of the site, as already pointed out by several other scholars.

Abstract
Such materials confirm the multicultural and multifaceted culture of the site, as already pointed out by several other scholars.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
