This article is devoted to some linguistic features of the dialect of Russian Molokans living in Azerbaijan. The Molokans, who denied many Orthodox rites, were deported by the tsarist administration to Transcaucasia in the 19th century. Molokan communities consist of representatives of different provinces, and by borrowing words from each other, as well as from local languages, they enriched their language. The article uses material recorded during field work that was conducted in the village of Ivanovka (Azerbaijan) in the spring of 2022. In addition, there are also speech examples taken from interviews with Molokans (Novoivanovka and Chukhuryurt, Azerbaijan), which are posted on the Just Masimov YouTube channel.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
