Research has highlighted the importance of the emotional dimension in the learning process and how the environment can alter the personal ability to accommodate and process emotions. The skills an individual acquires are enduring compared to the emotional states that can often be said to be "transient" and that guide the path of acquisition. The paper gives an account of the role taken on by emotions as enduring personal resources that can be used profitably from an educational perspective to give course to solid and long-lasting learning, since they are considered adaptive elements and potentially transformative of personal and social interaction into an enriching experience.
