The relationship between production and sanctuaries is one of the central study themes of ancient societies due to the close connection between resources, markets, legal guarantees and culture. This paper presents a number of reflections on the religious contexts at Lavinium, with particular reference to the sanctuary of the Thirteen Altars, where furnaces and most likely looms are documented, as well as the votive deposits found in the north-eastern sector of the city.
