People who open access to Emergency Room (ER) are subjects of numerous research because of implications on resources, sanitary costs and ER overcrowding. A small group of people who frequently access ERs are affected by acute alcohol intoxication. Access to ERs for acute alcohol intoxication is rising every year, and it will be essential to estimate the effect of those consumers on sanitary costs soon. Although this correlation is well known, data about correlations between frequent access to ERs and alcohol intoxication are still scarce. This study’s objective is to describe this population and its correlation with ERs.

Abstract
People who open access to Emergency Room (ER) are subjects of numerous research because of implications on resources, sanitary costs and ER overcrowding. A small group of people who frequently access ERs are affected by acute alcohol intoxication. Access to ERs for acute alcohol intoxication is rising every year, and it will be essential to estimate the effect of those consumers on sanitary costs soon. Although this correlation is well known, data about correlations between frequent access to ERs and alcohol intoxication are still scarce. This study’s objective is to describe this population and its correlation with ERs.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
