The study investigates contemporary company monographs in Italy, as a distinctive and long-standing literary genre and sector of the national cultural industry which have been rarely devoloped by scholars. A field research examined a sample of overall 276 «millennial» company books to describe the publishing profile distinguishing such publishing and communicative artifacts, as well as the features of the organizations promoting them. Collected data show, on the one hand, the liveliness of the sector, to which also a growing number of local SMESs and publishing houses contribute; on the other, the prevalence of standardised moderls and choices of forms and contents, from which only a few companies and publishers do distance themselves by a creative way, in continuity with the cultural tradition and experimentation carried on in Italy throughout the Twentieth Century.
