Coastal navigation in the in the fourteenth century Mediterranean. Notes from the Genoese Galearum registers · The analysis of some itineraries found in some log books of Genoese gal- leys, dating back to the second half of the fourteenth century, allows to the author to question the relationship between local and long-distance cabotage. In addition to the enhancement of a neglected source, the goal is to lay the foundations for extensive research on maritime sources aimed at describing more accurately the routes most in use, with particular regard to local circuits.
