The possibility of obtaining stable transmission in strongly dispersion-managed links having linear compensation devices and randomly variable length fiber spans is demonstrated. The dynamic behavior of a single pulse over a system of this kind, employing standard monomodal fibers (SMF), is numerically analyzed. A general analytical expression for the input pre-chirped needed to obtain stable transmission is also described.

Abstract
The possibility of obtaining stable transmission in strongly dispersion-managed links having linear compensation devices and randomly variable length fiber spans is demonstrated. The dynamic behavior of a single pulse over a system of this kind, employing standard monomodal fibers (SMF), is numerically analyzed. A general analytical expression for the input pre-chirped needed to obtain stable transmission is also described.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
