Abstract
New information technologies imply unlimited and unprecedented possibilities for information and participation enhancement, but the data on how information is produced, circulated and acquired on the Net reveals a less idealistic picture. Social Networks in particular are in fact mostly used for amusement, evasion and self-consolatory scopes. Even when the digital citizens turn to them in order to be informed and to take a stand, the risk of finding themselves closed in echo chambers working on a confirmation bias scheme is high. This work analyzes how information and pseudo-information circulates over the Net and its consequences in terms of the construction of public discourse.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
