Forty postmenopausal women (Group A), treated with a continuous sequential hormonal. replacement therapy (HRT) regimen, and 40 postmenopausal women (Group B), treated with a combined continuous HRT regimen, were. undergone before and after 6 month of HRT to transvaginal ultrasonography (TV-US) evaluation of endometrial thickness and endometrial biopsy. After 6 months of therapy mean endometrial thickness resulted significantly increased in comparison with basal values in both groups. The mean value of endometrial thickness was significantly higher (p<0.01) in Group A, than in Group B.
