The subject of this paper is the analysis of the bowls attested in the Iberian Peninsula during the time span between the 8th and 6th centuries BC. It is based on a chrono-typological classification already made by the author in the PhD research. The documentation is collected in order to examine in depth the phenomenon of the adaptation of the ceramic repertoire of Phoenician tradition in the colonial sphere. It allows us to highlight the dual cultural connections of the western Phoenician production: on one hand, strongly linked to the Eastern tradition; on the other hand, receptive to the innovations of the local contexts of the western Mediterranean Sea. The process of regional diversification of the repertoire, which becomes more significant during the 7th century BC, creates a gap between the ceramic productions of the various areas of the Mediterranean Sea reached by the Phoenician expansion.

Abstract
The process of regional diversification of the repertoire, which becomes more significant during the 7th century BC, creates a gap between the ceramic productions of the various areas of the Mediterranean Sea reached by the Phoenician expansion.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
