In recent decades, urban research and experimentation have analysed the climate problem at various scales, in line with 'climate proof' policies aimed at verifying the strategies proposed throughout the entire life cycle of the project, which is possible thanks to continuous monitoring of the results. The level of action is twofold: 'hierarchical', from the macro-scale to the local and micro scale, and 'horizontal', of methodological and operational sharing between local realities. The importance of an inter-scalar approach is more evident in relation to complex scenarios, such as historical ones, where awareness of cultural values must dialogue with any activity aimed at combating climate change. Starting from the evaluation of the main lines of action, however, there emerges a lack of coordination between policies and practices of adaptation - and we must also add protection - to which we can add, on a local and micro scale, the difficulty in finding microclimatic data specific to particular urban areas, which is fundamental for acting in accordance with the real needs of the site. And it is precisely from this "basic" level that a careful "mending" of urban space must start for its "efficient use". In this context, the research precisely focuses on the analysis of one of these 'real basic factors', ventilation, highlighting 'if' and 'how' the anemometric factor is considered in the regeneration processes of consolidated urban space.
