In this article we want to analyze, from a pedagogical point of view, an Italian artistic reality: The Academy on the Art of Gesture by Virgilio Sieni. For more than a decade it has been proposing and developing training contexts on the languages of the body and dance, stimulating the participation of citizens in collective artistic creation. The goal is to reflect on the concept of “distance care” and on the body’s possibilities to continue to train the sense of closeness with the other by itself, after the new regulations to combat the spread of COVID-19.
