This paper investigates the repercussions of observing the intersection of translation practice with the physical dimension, in line with current research on embodied cognition. The paper begins with a brief outline of cognitive embodiment outside the field of translation studies before moving on to examining some of the many areas where translation and physicality overlap. The example of dance notation will then be introduced, prompting a series of questions raised by such a practice, questions that will ultimately shed light on an embodied translation practice in general.

Abstract
This paper investigates the repercussions of observing the intersection of translation practice with the physical dimension, in line with current research on embodied cognition. The paper begins with a brief outline of cognitive embodiment outside the field of translation studies before moving on to examining some of the many areas where translation and physicality overlap. The example of dance notation will then be introduced, prompting a series of questions raised by such a practice, questions that will ultimately shed light on an embodied translation practice in general.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
