The study proposes an innovative approach to the librettist Goldoni from the perspective of the studies on the vocabulary and musicology: the lexicon sector is surveyed in this musical opera libretti by Goldoni and examines situations 'metamusicalità' (ie musical episodes in music) in order to check on the one hand the interest of books as sources for knowledge of contemporary musical practices, on the other hand the operation of the musical lexicon as a code of communication with the audience of opera as well as the role of music in drama Goldoni This study offers an innovative approach to Goldoni as a librettist Both from the perspective of lexicology and musicology. Goldoni's librettos are Examined in search of musical terms, musical situations and episodes of 'metamusicality' (musical scenes Set to music), the scope is either to verify the Importance and usefulness of Goldoni's librettos as a source for contemporary musical practices or His use of musical terms and expressions as a communication code shared with opera goers. Last but not least, this approach Permits to verify the role of music in Goldoni's dramaturgy.

Lo studio propone un innovativo approccio al Goldoni librettista dalla prospettiva degli studi sul lessico e della musicologia: viene censito il lessico settoriale musicale presente nei libretti d'opera di Goldoni e vengono esaminate situazioni di 'metamusicalità' (cioè episodi musicali in musica) allo scopo di verificare da un lato l'interesse dei libretti quali fonti per la conoscenza di pratiche musicali coeve, dall'altro il funzionamento del lessico musicale quale codice comunicativo col pubblico del teatro d'opera nonché il ruolo della musica nella drammaturgia goldoniana This study offers an innovative approach to Goldoni as a librettist from the perspective both of lexicology and musicology.
