Teatro sociale come pedagogia delle relazioni umane

The article examines the general framework of the relationship between theatre pedagogy and social theatre. Pedagogy and social theatre intersect not only because theatre can be a useful tool within a didactic process: both forms can meet and contaminate each other, but this must be detected on the concrete level of practices. Of course, there are no precise rules, rather affinities of procedures. There are many ways of doing (social) theatre, just as there are many possibilities for articulating a pedagogical process. So, first of all, we need to find structural affinities between the two fields. Theatre is not just a civil pulpit that can instruct its audience and/or those involved in a staging process, just as pedagogy is not just about passing on knowledge established through defined protocols. We need to know which theatre we are talking about and which pedagogy we are referring to, and how they are structurally related.

L'articolo esamina il quadro generale di riferimento dei rapporti tra pedagogia teatrale e teatro sociale. Pedagogia e teatro sociale si incrociano non solo perché il teatro può essere un utile strumento all’interno di un processo didattico: l’una e l’altra forma possono incontrarsi e contaminarsi, ma questo deve essere rilevato sul piano concreto delle pratiche. Naturalmente non esistono regole precise, piuttosto affinità di procedimenti. Ci sono molti modi di fare teatro (sociale), così come variegate sono le possibilità di articolare un processo pedagogico. Dunque, per pri- ma cosa, occorre trovare delle affinità strutturali tra i due ambiti. Il teatro non è solo un pulpito civile che può ammaestrare il suo pubblico e/o coloro che partecipano a un processo di messa in scena, così come la pedagogia non si limita alla mera trasmissione di saperi costituiti attraverso dei protocolli definiti. Occorre sapere di quale teatro si sta parlando e a quale pedagogia si fa riferimento, e come si imparentano a livello strutturale.
