The processes of city’s and territory’s regeneration require to intervene on physical architectures but also to produce complementary “informative architectures” to support the understanding of a contemporary able to prefigure a sustainable future. This essay, through a critical introduction and using case studies, shows urban regeneration developments originated and supported by Information Design. In particular, the reflection focuses on reticular models and maps of meaning of and for the city that assume the role of catalysts of a “semantic capital” essential to be used in supporting the consciousness and the value of our habitat.
