Alcune considerazioni sulla trasmissione di modelli nell’architettura funeraria islamica tra X e XIII secolo. Il caso della necropoli di Assuan

Aesthetic differences in mausoleums of the Islamic Necropolis of Aswan basically consist in compositional variations of a fixed number of stereometric elements, with few important exceptions in which the single grammatical element becomes a vehicle for architectural expressiveness. In terms of appropriation and reproduction of an architectural image this is a very interesting marker, which helps us to recognise the prevailing directions and the degrees of fluidity in the transmission of stylistic models. Moreover, this approach can be useful to better define the dating of the artefacts of the Aswan Necropolis, as yet not perfectly identified.
