The aim of this study is examining the Black Glazed Pottery of the Tophet of Motya dating to the 4th century BC. The analysis of the pottery repertoire is twofold: it allows to understand the meaning of the utilization of the Greek imports during the rituals, and it gives the opportunity for a reconsideration of the spread of Attic imports in Western markets and the role of Motya in these trades during the 4th century BC.
