A four-wheel drive hybrid sports car prototype is being constructed in Livorno, Italy. In this prototype six alternative working modes of the powertrain can be selected by the pilot, in order to test and compare different hybrid, thermal and electrical schemes. At present the car construction activity is in progress. The spaceframe has been constructed and the vehicle body is under construction. Bench tests of both thermal engine and electric motor have been effected, and road tests will be carried out soon. In this paper the preliminary results of this research activity are described. The vehicle layout, the multi-modal propulsion system, the bench tests and a simulation of the car performances are presented.

Abstract
A four-wheel drive hybrid sports car prototype is being constructed in Livorno, Italy. In this prototype six alternative working modes of the powertrain can be selected by the pilot, in order to test and compare different hybrid, thermal and electrical schemes. At present the car construction activity is in progress. The spaceframe has been constructed and the vehicle body is under construction. Bench tests of both thermal engine and electric motor have been effected, and road tests will be carried out soon. In this paper the preliminary results of this research activity are described. The vehicle layout, the multi-modal propulsion system, the bench tests and a simulation of the car performances are presented.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
