In the last decades, we have advanced from a situation where transplantation was the unique solution of endstage organ failure into a thrilling era in which regenerative therapies and organ reconditioning are opening new avenues in our area of health care. In this exciting time, Transplant International wants to take a step further and promote key basic science and clinical developments that can individually and synergistically boost advances in organ replacement medicine. To accomplish this ambitious mission, we have created three Task Force groups that cover the fields of Basic Science and Immunology, Technology, and Regenerative Medicine. Our vision is to work at the interface of medicine, (bio)engineering, and biotechnology to collectively establish active forums to discuss how new developments in these areas are impacting and sculpting the present and the future of organ transplantation.

Abstract
In the last decades, we have advanced from a situation where transplantation was the unique solution of endstage organ failure into a thrilling era in which regenerative therapies and organ reconditioning are opening new avenues in our area of health care. In this exciting time, Transplant International wants to take a step further and promote key basic science and clinical developments that can individually and synergistically boost advances in organ replacement medicine. To accomplish this ambitious mission, we have created three Task Force groups that cover the fields of Basic Science and Immunology, Technology, and Regenerative Medicine. Our vision is to work at the interface of medicine, (bio)engineering, and biotechnology to collectively establish active forums to discuss how new developments in these areas are impacting and sculpting the present and the future of organ transplantation.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
