the thesis is the result of research about the Coptic blessing formulae in Middle Egypt (Al Minya and Asyut), based on the survey and the available collection I chose two areas from Al Minya (Antinoupolis and Tuna El Gabal), and three areas from Asyut (Manqabad, Wadi Sarga and Bawit). My intention had been to read and translate the texts of the Coptic tombstones (the most unpublished) and only Ostraca from Wadi Sarga. In my attempts to read the texts of tombstones, I turned for help to the collections of tombstones of the Monastery of Jeremiah at Saqqara which had already been published. The aim of this study to provide a systematic survey and classification of the blessing formulae on tombstones and ostraca in Middle Egypt. -Methodology In his thesis, the researcher followed the analytical method for texts of tombstones and Ostraca.
