I concetti di percorso di ristrutturazione, fascia di pertinenza e Fringe belt nell'analisi del tessuto urbano di Porto

This work has been within the seminar ‘Emerging Perspectives on Urban Morphology’/EPUM workshop on the teaching of the discipline of Urban Morphology, that took place throughout two weeks in Sep-tember 2018 at the Universidade do Porto.The study of the urban fabric of the histori-cal center of Porto was developed within the research team, based on a number of sources including aerial photogrammetric map. On this occasion, the focus was on topological variance of each plot, each individual minimum land unit, on its regularity or irregularity, collinearity or non-collinearity with respect to the route, on its meaning and formal articulation in the street-block. This made possible to attribute a value to each individual unit and to identify the geomet-ric rules that gradually shaped the urban aggre-gate to its current physical appearence. The comparison between two different ap-proaches allowed to define the areas that had a level of homogeneity in terms of shape, charac-terized by different forms and building types. The result has been a map which, although derived from these two different analytical approaches, achieves, by commonly defined considerations, shareable and similar results.

Questo lavoro è stato nell'ambito del seminario `` Prospettive emergenti sulla morfologia urbana '' / workshop EPUM sull'insegnamento della disciplina della morfologia urbana, che si è svolto per due settimane a settembre 2018 presso l'Universidade do Porto. Lo studio del tessuto urbano del centro storico di Porto è stato sviluppato all'interno del Workshop, sulla base di una serie di fonti tra cui la mappa fotogrammetrica aerea. In questa occasione, l’attenzione è stata posta su ogni singola unità di proprietà minima, sulla sua regolarità o irregolarità, collinearità o non collinearità rispetto al percorso, sul suo significato e articolazione formale nel blocco stradale. Ciò ha reso possibile attribuire un valore a ogni singola unità e identificare le regole geometriche che hanno gradualmente modellato l'aggregato urbano nella sua attuale apparenza fisica. Il confronto tra due diversi approcci ha permesso di definire le aree che presentavano un livello di omogeneità in termini di forma, caratterizzate da forme e tipi di edifici diversi. Il risultato è stato una mappa che, sebbene derivata da questi due diversi approcci analitici, ottiene, con considerazioni comunemente definite, risultati condivisibili e simili.
