The purpose of this literature review is to investigate how many research in the sports sector has been carried out from the perspective of the Service-Dominant Logic (SDL). A systematic review of the literature (SLR) was conducted across a range of databases to explore the existing research. Only a small number of articles were found, suggesting that research in this field is still in its infancy and that studies in the sports sector remain primarily product focused. Therefore, this leads that the significance of the SDL to sport management and marketing research remains unknown and more studies are needed.
