This paper will deal with the reconstruction of Beirut after the blast of 4th of August 2020. The blast destroyed the so-called "artistic district" of the city, and a reconstruction was much needed. The subject of reconstruction, opened a debate between researchers, architects and engineers about the ethics of the reconstruction phase, and whether a new SOLIDERE project will be implemented, destroying the valuable architectural heritage of the area, and relocating its residences.
