The management of electrical and electronic equipment: analysis of the present situation from the point of view of the revision of the WEEE directive

Italy provides before than others European countries for the recasting and repeal of the original WEEE directive (Directive 2002/96 / EC) substantially modified since its adoption; The presente work analize the impact of this change, how to classifies WEEE into different categories, such as temperature exchange equipment for small and large equipment, screens, lamps, and small IT and telecommunications equipment; In this paper in simple and plain terms some of the main characteristics of this important legislative development shall be examined , with particular attention to Italian peculiarities and to critical issues affecting Producers. This Directive entered into force on August 13, 2012 andwhich envisages an expanded scope of application. All electrical and electronic appliances shall be covered by it as of mid August 2018.
