Voices of the Jewish communities in the IV Century can be detected reading the imperial laws related to them in this age of religious crisis. Violence, persecution, and discrimination are only in part dammed by the legislator, acting in defense of the religious communities and following their claims. This kind of perspective failed in favor of a conflictual approach, based on exclusivism and prejudice, witnessed significantly by the imperial laws.
