Although comorbid insomnia and sleep apnea (COMISA) is a debilitating and highly prevalent disorder, it has been mostly neglected for some decades. A recent review published in Brain Sciences raises attention on this disorder and on the bidirectional relationships between insomnia and sleep apnea. The review has the merit to stimulate comprehension of this disorder and to help the development of novel and more effective treatments, providing clinical recom-mendations and future research agenda.
