The Hungarian Soviet Republic was a short-lived state led by the Hungarian Socialist Party which existed between March and August 1919. It fell due to the war against Romania, Czechoslovakia, and Kingdom of SHS and due to the counter-revolution. This Soviet government experience was followed with great interest by the European Socialist parties such as the Italian one, which sent two missions to Budapest, one composed by the MPs Alceste Della Seta and Arturo Vella and another one led by the MP Oddino Morgari and joined also by the journalist Iso Brante (Isacco M. Schweide). Moreover, while the PSI reformist wing did not pay a lot of attention to this Soviet experience due to its radicalism, the heterogeneous maximalist wing (which controlled also the PSI Direction) dealt with the Hungarian Soviet and the counter-revolution in different articles published on its own press. Therefore, this article aims to analyze this journalistic production and the PSI missions in Hungary.

Abstract
Therefore, this article aims to analyze this journalistic production and the PSI missions in Hungary.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
