In this essay, we propose in traslation three text fragments of Trecerea, Cătălin Pavel’s novel (Humanitas, 2016). The author set these sequences in the library of the monastery of Respetea. The translation is preceded by a short presentation of the novel, with a focus on the function attributed by the author to the library and the books it contains.
