Abstract
The paper explores the analogy between the theory of natural selection and cultural evolution, with particular reference to reinterpretations of concepts, artworks and objects through contemporary digital techniques. Numerical tools have become a transversal media since they offer everyone the opportunity to shape the imagination, to create images and set them in motion, to model and print threedimensional shapes. The article introduces the analysis of some significant examples in the visual arts and design, where new technologies allow us to create and communicate historicized concepts and forms, reinterpreting them on the scale of our times.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
