The article explores the UN Charter and the practice of the General Assembly concerning compliance with International Court of Justice decisions. Three aspects are investigated: the legal foundation of the General Assembly power to act for ensuring compliance with the Court's decisions, the character of the compliance obligation in relation to which the General Assembly can intervene, and the relationship between the General Assembly and the Security Council in such matters.
