This essay proposes a new interpretation of the two tornadas present within the Marcabrunian vers Bel m’es quan s’esclarzis l’onda (BdT 293, 12a), vv. 46-49. The historical and exegetical analysis focuses on the dedicatee of the poem (the segnoriu de Gironda), here identified as the troubadour and Prince of Blaye Jaufre Rudel. For that purpose, the investigation follows two directions: while the first part is dedicated to the re-examination of previous interventions, the second one circumscribes the hypothesis of the new identification.

Abstract
This essay proposes a new interpretation of the two tornadas present within the Marcabrunian vers Bel m’es quan s’esclarzis l’onda (BdT 293, 12a), vv. 46-49. The historical and exegetical analysis focuses on the dedicatee of the poem (the segnoriu de Gironda), here identified as the troubadour and Prince of Blaye Jaufre Rudel. For that purpose, the investigation follows two directions: while the first part is dedicated to the re-examination of previous interventions, the second one circumscribes the hypothesis of the new identification.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
