The Rinaldone and Gaudo facies in the territory of Rome: new data on the circulation of prestigious goods and the mobility of human groups in the Mediterranean basin – A series of archaeometric analyses, and an anthropological study supplemented by isotopic analysis and DNA, have made it possible to acquire new data related to the circulation of prestige goods and the mobility of human groups from the funerary evidence attributable to the Rinaldone and Gaudo facies identified in central Latium. The resulting cultural framework highlights a series of wideranging contacts for the acquisition of raw materials that involve not only Italy but also other territories. The study of specific inhumations and certain types of grave goods highlights a more complex cultural framework than those known to date, based on the circulation of goods and people from territories bordering the Mediterranean basin.

Abstract
The study of specific inhumations and certain types of grave goods highlights a more complex cultural framework than those known to date, based on the circulation of goods and people from territories bordering the Mediterranean basin.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
