Un socialismo da (ri)definire

The aim of the article is to develop some reflections about the possibility of a redefinition of socialism. According to the author, socialism should be thought, firstly, as the theoretical and practical activity of criticism and transformation of all those modes of relation that, in the different spheres of social life, cause some individuals to be subjected to forms of exclusion and domination that prevent them from finding their self-realization and satisfaction. But, up to this point, we remain on the level of justice. Secondly, it is necessary to integrate the perspective of justice with the one of a theory of the good life. Social institutions should aim not only at realizing equal opportunities for all individuals, but also at reducing to a minimum the aspects of competition and antagonism between subjects and at promoting relations based on cooperation and solidarity.
