The performance of underwater acoustic communication can be improved by resorting to several diversity combining techniques. The harmonic distortion typically characterizing acoustic sources leads the signal to be transmitted over different carriers, giving rise to a particular kind of frequency diversity. In this direction, we explore the feasibility of maximal ratio combining and equal gain combining based on transmitter nonlinearities.

Abstract
The performance of underwater acoustic communication can be improved by resorting to several diversity combining techniques. The harmonic distortion typically characterizing acoustic sources leads the signal to be transmitted over different carriers, giving rise to a particular kind of frequency diversity. In this direction, we explore the feasibility of maximal ratio combining and equal gain combining based on transmitter nonlinearities.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
