In this essay Kathleen Fraser's experimental poetry is analysed and investigated through the privileged stance of translation. Her writing process is paralleled to the textual stages crossed by the dynamics of a translational relationship. Fraser's reappropriation of the Etruscan suggestions is echoed and amplified in the theoretical frame of A. Lefevere's "refraction" notion.
