The minisymposium aims to provide an overview on current research in differetial problems which arise in a variety of different frameworks. Indeed, challenging analytical problems are originated from applications, in particular when, new materials, such as biological ones are studied. In particular, interesting problem materials with memory exhibit the crucial physical property that their behaviour depends on time not only through the present time but also through their past history. Or when bodies with fractal boundaries are consid- ered. Accordingly, to model the new situations,ad hoc and new analytical instruments are required. In addition, for instance, it may happen that the model is asked to take into account the contemporaneous effects of different physical phenomena.
