The cultural industry, by now accepted as traditional, needs to be rethought, in its standards and concepts, as a result of the crisis of the modern era and the Internet typhoon. Media professionals cannot evade this change, even if they often find themself poised between not so clear “honor” codes, personal and generational ethics and the troubles of being acknowledged in the social and working area. The media system will in the future have to deal with attention to quality and the skills of people involved in the production process, whom will have a crucial role in the evolution of shared culture and the better definition of the social layout in this “digital” season. We should indeed mind internal trends that could alter social balance, but also the quality of tv schedule and its agents, and we should assist the cooperation between media companies and official Research and Educational agencies.
